This conference recalls and celebrates the first descent of Man on the Moon on July 20th of 1969, an extraordinary deed that marks a trascendental turning point in the history of humankind. 50 years have gone by and 5 manned flights to the Moon repeated this feat bringing back from those trips 384 kilograms of lunar rocks that were studied in the laboratories of the world. Which will be our next step? Lets return to the caverns!. This is an affirmation that builds on the discovery of natural caves on the Moon, places that could perfectly well be adapted for a first colonisation of the Moon, and protected from the unforgiving solar radiation, take advantage of the Sun´s energy isolated from the outside temperature...like those ancient caverns that once lodged our ancestors here on Earth and that allowed the human race to develop as a species to be what we are today...So a return to the caverns could be the next step of our species in the exploration and discovery of the wonderful Universe we inhabit...
